Abdullah Al-Zahrani, the former head coach of the Bahraini national football team, has been appointed as the new head coach of Al-Rayyan FC in the Bahrain Premier League.
Al-Zahrani was previously the head coach of Al-Jazira SC in Qatar and had won numerous trophies including the Qatar Super Cup, which he led to three consecutive titles in 2018-19.
The move comes after Al-Zahrani's previous stint with Al-Rayyan saw them finish second-last in the league last season. He took charge in 2017 and guided his side to a 4th-place finish in their first season in Qatar.
