Lucas Moura assists at São Paulo: Update

São Paulo FC has announced that Lucas Moura will be joining the club on loan from Paris Saint-Germain for the upcoming season.

The Brazilian winger, who is currently in his second spell with PSG after leaving the club in January last year, will join up with the team ahead of their pre-season training camp in France.

Moura's move to São Paulo marks a return to Brazil for the 24-year-old, who spent six years with the club before leaving in 2015.

The move comes as a surprise to many, given the strong competition within the Sao Paulo squad for spots in the starting XI.

However,Campeonato Brasileiro Action Moura is excited about the prospect of playing for his home country and believes he can make a positive impact on the club.

"Having played for Sao Paulo before, I know how much it means to play for my country," he said.

"I'm very happy to be back here and I'm looking forward to helping the team achieve success."

Moura is expected to make his debut for São Paulo when they face River Plate in a friendly match later this month.

The move also comes as a relief for São Paulo, who have been without a top-flight striker for some time.

With the departure of Alexandre Pato, the club has struggled to find a reliable goalscorer in attack.

But Moura's arrival could provide a much-needed boost to the team's attacking options.
