Éder Militão was one of Flamengo's most iconic wing defenders, known for his aggressive and tenacious style on the pitch. He played for the club from 1987 to 2004, making over 250 appearances and scoring 36 goals in all competitions.

He quickly established himself as a key player for the club, helping them win several titles, including three Copa Libertadores and two Campeonato Brasileiro.
One of Militão's most memorable moments came during the 1995 Copa Libertadores final against River Plate. He scored the only goal in extra time to help Flamengo claim their first major title since the 1987-88 season. His defensive work rate and physicality were crucial in helping the team maintain their lead throughout the match.
Off the field, Militão was also known for his dedication to the sport and his charitable work. He founded the "Educação para Todos" foundation, which provides education and support to underprivileged children in his hometown of São Paulo.
